Description

Sign for Path Twelve (12), in this case the part of it that heads toward the beach at Mesa Pigadia. Overall, Path 12 is quite long, with a total length of 9,600 meters and estimated hiking time of 3 hours and 20 minutes. The route starts at the old stone lighthouse at the western end of the island and continues past Mesa Pigadia Beach (20 minutes from here), Kampia (or Kambia) Beach (1 hour and 20 minutes from here), and the Red Beach (Kokkini Paralia, 1 hour and 40 minutes from here), ending at the archaeological site. It is a combination of footpath, dirt road, and cobblestones.
