Megaro Gyzi in Fira is one of the few 17th-century mansions that survived the earthquakes of 1956. It is a unique building of its era in Santorini, with the ground floor spaces surrounding a patio to create a distinctive inner open area. Since its founding, and especially during the tourist season, the Megaro Gyzi Cultural Center has organized cultural events such as painting exhibitions, concerts, recitals, theatrical performances, photography exhibitions, and book presentations.
