Description

In the village square of Megalochori, across from the church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary (Eisodia tis Theotoku), we see the church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary (Kimisis tis Theotoku). The inscription in the marble above its wooden door informs us that the church was renovated in 1872 at the expense of its owners, Loukas N. Akylas and Georgios A. Mathas.
