Description

The Domaine Sigalas Winery is located on the plain of Oia, in the Baxes area. The prime location of the winery and the western orientation of the tasting room allow visitors to enjoy the colors of the sunset in the vineyards of the estate. The company was founded in 1991. At first the winery was housed where the traditional kanava of the family of Paris Sigalas used to be. Then, in 1998, a new production, bottling, and aging facility was constructed and opened in a private area. After continuous investments in modernization and expansion, the current production infrastructure was completed. It is capable of processing and bottling 300,000 bottles annually. The most versatile grape variety in the Mediterranean, the Assyrtiko of Santorini, as well as Aidani, Athiri, Mandilaria and Mavrotragano, are used in the best way, with respect for their organoleptic characteristics, resulting in high quality wines that have been recognized in international publications and competitions.
