Description

Emporio, Emporeio, or Nimporeio is the largest village in Santorini, and one of the most traditional. Here we will find the best-preserved castle on the island, it is still inhabited today. It is located at the foot of the Prophet Elias Mountain, and we can get a very nice view of the settlement from Diapla (on the way to the monastery of the Prophet Elias). The famous black sandy beach of Perissa is less than 3 kilometers from the center of the settlement.
